Meet Yolande

My story is intrinsic in understanding the ‘whys’ and ‘how’s’ behind the philosophy of soul centred living.

I have been fortunate to be a part of an eight-strong partnership of executives, that allowed me to hone, developed and nurture the Australian division of the internationally esteemed ‘Rusty Surfboards’ brand for 16 years. In 2006, my business partners and I seized the opportunity to take charge of Rusty Surfboards worldwide, which further developed my business acumen. After two decades at Rusty Surfboards, I decided to established a holistic centre in the heart of CBD Melbourne Australia where  I supported my clients to align personal and professional goals.

I have more than 30-years experience in personal, business, and corporate roles where I have specialised in helping my clients develop themselves holistically. I personally have trained in business, performance & behavioural coaching, soul centred psychotherapy, neurolinguistic communication, yoga, mediation and wellness trainer.

In terms of my own personal journey, I have delved into Buddhism and Kashmir Shaivism whilst undergoing extensive meditation training and retreats with some of the world’s most respected teachers. I have completed my Ashtanga & Kundalini yoga teachers training 500 hours and are registered with Yoga Alliance. My deep passion to support young women accomplish their dreams and goals seen me run group workshops that empower women to achieve their hearts desires whilst staying firmly connected to their wise intuitive woman. I have also expanded my coaching and therapeutic work into philanthropic activities, including the implementation of a meditation and yoga programs at Hakia Prison in Western Australia.

My personal journey from childhood into womanhood has been tantamount in me creating holistic programs that combines innovative research with the essence of femininity. Having been through many decades of body, mind and spiritual change I recognises the need for multidimensional support that has a holistic focus.

Holistic psychology brings an important focus to the counselling process. Many forms of psychology focus just on the thinking mind, but we are far more than the thoughts in our mind. We live in a physical body. We have emotions that require navigation and there is an intrinsic aspect that we have access to called intuition or soul . We need to learn how to connect with and manage each of these aspects of our being if we are to experience well being and satisfaction. Holistic psychology takes all of these aspects of our life into consideration.

My focus is on YOU as an individual, and my holistic guidance is here to help you approach emotions, thoughts and energies that can have you feeling burdened – like anxiety, guilt, anger, depression, shame and loss. No one technique is universally appropriate and your experiences are unique, so together we focus on using the most appropriate tools for your specific needs. Integrating aspects of yourself that may have been split off and strengthening your relationship with your authentic self is a clear focus. Inner material that emerges through exploring your subconscious can further be honoured through drawings, journaling, or movement. Working within the framework, which focuses on relationship, mindfulness, attention, lived experience, and meaning.

The pure nature of Hart Yoga allows you to find personal meaning in the practice. The objective is decentralised and selfless and helps people awaken their inner connection.
